How We Provide Support

I’m Every Woman (IEW) is a local Registered Charity committed to helping mothers of children with complex medical needs. I’m Every Woman was created by local Campbelltown mother, Maureen Lemalu after the birth of her first child, Caleb.

Caleb was unexpectedly diagnosed after birth with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome. He spent some time in Campbelltown’s Special Care Nursery requiring round the clock specialist care at birth. Feeling isolated and lost, Maureen was inspired to create a community for other mothers of children with complex medical needs, to help them feel understood, heard and most of all provide opportunities for self-care. And so I’m Every Woman was born!!

I’m Every Woman provides support in 2 ways;

1. Providing monthly Coffee & Chat opportunities to mothers & women in a safe and inclusive space, with a monthly host providing information on relevant services that would benefit or improve their situation

2. IEW Care Bag Initiative which are specifically designed to support families facing long term stays in Campbelltown Hospital’s Special Care Nursery. Our bags will contain essentials for both baby and parents to ease the stress that comes with an unexpected long stay in hospital.
